I Am Sitting Here....

at my computer enjoying an ice block and thinking about what am I going to write about...
well I have a mental blank so I am just going to post the last 2 layout that I have created.
I create this layout using sketch #34 from 52Sketches...52Weeks. I have a real liking for Basic Grey papers at present, just loved the soft pink shades here.
This digital layout is for the August Theme challenge over at Ready, Set, Scrap. Had to use the word journey as a title and also had to have a subtitle, plus some metal embellie somewhere on the layout, which I used staples. I really love the purple/blue colour combo, and how sweet is that bird...
So that is all from me for now...
Don't forget about the RAK I have going, click here to find out about it.
So I will so until next time, take care....

1 To Share...

That is all I have to share with you at the moment. I created this one for the cybercrop over at RSS. I was hoping to get a few more done but ran out of time.

Criteria was to use white cardstock, and the only other colour to be used was red. Also the word passion or passionate. I had fun creating this layout, used a toothbrush to splatter paint on the white cardstock, I felt like a kid down on the floor with newpaper spread everywhere and splattering, lots of fun!
So that is all for now, have to get ready for work shortly, gosh going back to work has really cut into my scrapping time. I hope that once I get into a routine that it will get better...
So catch you all later...Marisa.
PS stay tuned for a huge RAK that I will be having soon...

No Laptop...

I have no laptop at present, it has gone in to get fixed :(
So I am resorting to using my hubbies laptop & our mian computer when I can get the chance to get on them, which is very rare when hubbie & ds are at home.
So now let see first I would like to thank Tracy over at My 2 Angels for this lovely blog award.
Thank you so much Tracy, I love it...
I am going to pass it onto Kirsty, Kerryn, Lady Grace, Tracey, Ann-Marie & Jayne
I think all you lovely ladies are amazingly talented scrappers & I love reading your blogs to see what you have created. Thank you for sharing.
Well that is all from me for now, I am hoping to get some scrapping of my own done today...
So take care until next time...

:)

I scrapped this layout for another challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap. August negative space challenge was set by Shell, criteria was to use circles, brads & buttons. So this is what I came up with...
The photo is of my oldest son when he was aged 2, that was in 1987.
Look at that grin on his face, sweet!!!
I stamped the circles using a camera film container, then realised that I had a rubber stamp that I could of used, yep I know I have way too much stuff and can't even remember what I have got, lol...
Oh I got happy mail today, yep I received 3 parcels in the post today.
2 were for prizes I had won in last months challenges over at RSS, lots of yummy things to play with now. And the other was lots of lovely Prima, yep I got myself some very yummy new flowers, can never have enough I say!!! Oh I am so itching to use some but have work for the rest of the week so might have to wait until the week end :(
So that is it from me, until next time...

A Squeak...

when I talk, yep I have lost my voice. My family thinks it is great, haha mum can't yell at them but boy I try. Oh and the coughing, and I mean coughing up my lungs every time I cough, especially at night. I hate being sick!
Well even feeling the way I felt today I did get some scrapping done. This is my take on Janine's OTP challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap for August.
Criteria is to use a shabby chic style, 2 or more chipboard pieces and lace. Well I think I got it all covered. I covered the canvas with material for something different, I had a piece of gorgeous floral fabric that I wanted to use. I dyed the cotton lace with tea to give it a vintage look. Don't look to close at the frame it was the only one I had at home to use.
Here are a couple of close up to show the details.

This layout I did the other day also for a challenge over at RSS, Tracey set this challenge and we had to use 3 pieces of patterned paper, 3 same size shapes, a min of 6 hand stitches and this quote 'We Do Not Remember Days We Remember The Moments'. So this is what I created.
The background cardstock is actually a lovely mint green. Look at those chubby cheeks my grand daughter had at 3 months.
So that is it for me, until new time.

OTP

I finished this mini envelope album today. I was creating it for a challenge which was for an OTP that was shabby chic...well has you can see did not end up shabby chic, oh well will try again to create something for the challenge...
I haven't added any photos because I am going to give as a present, so my friend can add her own photos. I used Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl papers, Carolee's Creation Coupon Book kit & mini alpha stickers, Love You More Rhinestone brads, Deluxe Design chip flowers, ribbon & thread.

This is the front cover.
The envelope inside.
The tags inside the envelopes.
The back page.
So that is it, now to go and start on a shabby chic OTP for the challenge...

Just A Little...

one to share with you today...
I did this 6'x12' layout for the ebony & ivory July challenge over at Read, Set, Scrap. The criteria was to use the colours black/green/blue, not a 12x 12 different format size, decorative edge and a flourish. Well I covered all the criteria. Sorry the photo is not that crash hot I took it after dark.
The decorative edge is there on the right hand side. I used Basic Grey papers, Bella flowers & flourish, Making Memories clips, ribbon & tag.
So that is all, hope everyone had a fab weekend.
